As part of Tennessee State University's “Design the Court” contest, I submitted a series of original court design concepts. Two of my submissions were selected and ultimately merged to form the final court design. This was an exciting opportunity to contribute to the university’s visual identity in a meaningful way.
My approach centered on aligning the court's aesthetics with TSU’s newly updated athletic branding. I focused on creating a contemporary, energized look that reflects the pride and dynamism of TSU athletics.
Key design elements included the integration of bold tiger stripes, a nod to the university’s mascot and strategic color blocking across the paint and sideline areas. These components were carefully balanced to enhance the court’s visual impact, ensuring it felt both modern and distinctly representative of TSU’s legacy.
